ʾAqaddem 75

The Academy launched ʾAqaddem in 1994 as a short newsletter published three times a year. In 2024 we revamped its format and design, transforming it into a large-scale annual summary of the Academy’s activities and giving it a fresh, contemporary look.

In the newsletter’s new format you can read about the Academy’s academic work and our engagement with the public, become acquainted with Academy members, discover newly approved Hebrew terms, and sample recent gleanings from the Historical Dictionary Project.

The newsletter also includes short articles by Academy members and employees, rare documents from the archive, and a survey of the Academy’s in-person and online activities for the general public: events, lectures, workshops, special projects, and interaction on social media.
